L’usine: branded poster

L’usine is a retail space, café, and gallery in the heart of Saigon. For their new Le Loi retail space and café I worked with Anthony Nguyen to design a “branded poster” in the style of vintage French poster art, which was rendered as a 6′ × 9′ wall painting inside the shop.

These limited release shirts are now available at select retail locations including In4mation stores, and also available online from Olde Ivory.

Edward Sharpe Poster

I designed a poster for the band Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros for their show at Webster Hall on July 22nd. It is a 4-color screen print, 18″ x 25″, edition of 100, on soft white mohawk superfine paper. They will be available for sale at the show and a limited quantity will be available in the Copter Design Store after the show.

I especially enjoyed doing the hand lettering

Judgement Day: Out of the Abyss 7″

Illustration and Design for Judgement Day’s new 7″ Record “Out of the Abyss: Live on Tape”

I really enjoy doing this style of illustration so I was happy it worked out for this project. The recordings for this release are amazing. The guys did it all live, in one take, pure shredding with amazing solos. Did I mention it’s all one take? Like on some Miles Davis tip, when you get that good all you need is one take.

New Judgement Day shirt photos.

I designed these shirts this summer when they were on tour with Mates of State, and they finally got printed in time for their current tour. First leg was with Margot and the nuclear so and sos, and now they’re finishing up the tour with the bay area band Dredg. Thanks Mike for the photos!

Kidrobot Tshirt Graphics

The t-shirts I designed for kidrobot last year are finally coming out. Should be in stores soon, and limited as always so get one before they’re gone.
*UPDATE they’re for sale on the kidrobot webstore now! Black version and white version.

You’ll see my hand drawn lettering appearing on a few different pieces in the holiday line. I’ll post more pictures as I get them.

I’m finishing up a new graphic for a Judgement Day tee shirt.

I got a chance to hang out with the guys from Judgement Day at the All Points West festival and they liked my idea for this graphic so it looks like it’s a go. They were there playing violin and cello in the band Mates of State who they’ve been touring with for the last few months.
